Ingredients

  • For the bread:
  • 300 grams / (10 1/2 ounces) white flour
  • 50 ml / (3 1/3 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dry baker’s yeast
  • 150 ml / (1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons) water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For the meat:
  • 100 grams / (3 1/2 ounces) minced beef
  • 100 grams / (3 1/2 ounces) minced pork meat
  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 50 ml / (3 1/3 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 75 grams / (2 2/3 ounces) grated cheese
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. For the bread:
    2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and the salt with a spoon. Add the baker’s yeast and mix well. Pour the olive oil and some of the water. Knead everything with your hands and go slowly pouring the remaining water.

    1. Place the olive oil, the chopped onion and the peeled tomatoes cut into small pieces in a saucepan and cook over low heat until the tomato start to break down.     1. Turn off the oven and serve.
