Ingredients

  • 2 conger steaks (about 500 grams / (17 1/2 ounces))
  • 50 ml / (3 1/3 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1/2 orange pepper
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 50 ml / (3 1/3 tablespoons) white wine
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Saffron (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Oregano (to taste)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. Pour the olive oil, the onion in half moon slices, the peeled garlics and the peppers cut into strips in a skillet and saute over medium-low heat about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the conger and season with a little salt, saffron, lemon juice, oregano, pepper and paprika. Drizzle with white wine, cover the skillet and cook over low heat about 20 minutes.

    Step 2


    1. Turn off the heat and serve the conger with rice or chips.
