Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg / (2 2/3 pounds) rabbit cut into pieces
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 200 ml / (3/4 cup and 1 1/2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • Thyme (to taste)
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. Place the rabbit in a rectangular baking dish and season with a little salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika, thyme, chopped garlics, lemon juice and honey. Let marinate about 1 hour.Rabbit in the oven with lemon | Food From Portugal

    1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / (350ºF).

    1. Drizzle the rabbit with olive oil, garnish with the lemon cut into slices and bake until golden brown; about 45 minutes.

    Step 4


    1. Turn off the oven and serve the rabbit with fries or white rice.
