A delicious recipe of beef seasoned with salt, sliced garlics, pepper, oregano, nutmeg and white wine, which goes in the oven with sliced onions, drizzled with olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg / (2 1/4 pounds) beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Oregano (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • 100 ml / (6 3/4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 100 ml / (6 3/4 tablespoons) white wine
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • Salt (to taste)
  • For the rice:
  • 300 grams / (10 1/2 ounces) rice
  • 50 ml / (3 1/3 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. Season the meat with salt, sliced garlics, oregano, pepper, nutmeg and white wine. Leave to marinate about an hour.

    Step 2


    1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / (350ºF). Place the onions cut into round slices in the bottom of baking dish. On top, place the meat with the marinade drizzled with the olive oil. Bake for one hour.

    Step 3


    1. When the meat is roasted, remove briefly from oven and brush the meat with honey. Place back in the oven about 5 minutes.

    2. In a saucepan, place the olive oil, chopped garlics and the bay leaf. Leave to sauté over low heat about three minutes. Add the rice seasoned with a little salt, stir and fry about a minute in the olive oil. Pour the water (twice the volume of the rice), stir, simmer and cook about 10 minutes.

    Step 5


    1. Remove the meat from the oven and serve with rice.
