A different way to prepare turkey steaks, seasoned with garlics, pepper, saffron and salt, stuffed with ham and cheese, served with a delicious yoghurt sauce.

Units: Metric / (Units: US)

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey steaks (about 600 grams / (1 1/3 pounds))
  • 4 ham slices (about 70 grams / (2 1/2 ounces))
  • 4 cheese slices (about 80 grams / (2 3/4 ounces))
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Saffron (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 100 ml / (6 3/4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 125 grams / (4 1/2 ounces) natural yoghurt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • A few drops of orange juice
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. Season the steaks with salt, sliced garlics, pepper and saffron.

    Step 2


    1. Remove the garlic and place on top of each steak a cheese slice and other of ham. Roll the steaks and secure them with toothpicks.

    Step 3


    1. In a frying pan, place the olive oil and the onion cut into round slices. Leave to sauté over low heat until the onion starts to turn golden. Add the steaks and fry them on both sides over medium-low heat until they turn slightly golden.

    1. For the sauce:
    2. In a bowl place the mayonnaise, yoghurt, mustard, salt, pepper and a few drops of orange juice. Mix everything well and rectify the seasoning if necessary.

    Step 5


    1. Serve the stuffed steaks with the yoghurt sauce.
