Ingredients

  • 1 kg / (2 1/4 pounds) turkey tenderloin
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 75 grams / (2 2/3 ounces) margarine
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 100 ml / (6 3/4 tablespoons) olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)
  • For the puree:
  • 1.2 kg / (2 2/3 pounds) potatoes
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • 10 grams / (1/3 ounce) margarine
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 300 ml / (1 1/4 cups) milk
  • Salt (to taste)

    Directions

    Step 1


    1. Place the turkey tenderloin in a baking pan and season with salt, pepper, chopped garlics, honey and lemon juice. Let marinate about one hour.

    Step 2


    1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / (350ºF). Place the margarine pieces around the turkey and drizzle with honey. Bake until the turkey starts to turn golden, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Occasionally drizzle the turkey with the sauce.

    Step 3


    1. For the puree:
    2. Peel, wash the potatoes and place them in a saucepan with water seasoned with salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to medium heat and cook about 30 minutes. When the potatoes are cooked, drain them and mash the potatoes with a potato masher or with a fork.

    Step 4


    1. In a saucepan, place the potato together with the milk, butter, nutmeg, pepper and lemon juice. Stir well with a wooden spoon and simmer over low heat until the puree starts bubbling, stirring occasionally. When starts boiling turn off the heat.

    Step 5


    1. Serve the turkey with the mashed potato.
