HOW TO MAKE BAKED BEEF LOIN

Step 1: Place the sliced onion on the bottom of a baking dish and, on top, place the beef loin. Season with salt, peeled garlic, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, nutmeg, saffron and white wine. Let marinate about one hour.

Step 2: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).

Step 3: Drizzle the meat with olive oil and bake until golden brown, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the loin with the sauce.

Step 4: Turn off the oven and serve the loin with chips or white rice.

TIPS FOR BAKED BEEF LOIN

1. If the loin starts to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.

2. We usually bake the loin at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors and the meat gets more tender.

3. If you have leftovers, store the meat in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out the meat, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.
