HOW TO MAKE EASY BAKED MASHED POTATOES WITH TUNA

Step 1:
For the puree:
Peel, wash the potatoes, place them in a saucepan with water seasoned with salt and boil over high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to medium heat and cook the potatoes for about 20 to 25 minutes. When the potatoes are cooked, remove the pan from heat, drain them and mash with a potato masher. Season with margarine, nutmeg, pepper, lemon juice and milk. Stir with a wooden spoon and place back on the stove over low heat. When starts bubbling, turn off the heat.

Step 2: Drain the tuna and shred it with a fork. Place the olive oil and the chopped onion in a saucepan and saute over low heat until the onion start to turn golden, stirring occasionally. Add the tuna and season with a little pepper. Stir and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 3: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).

Step 4: In a baking dish, place a layer of puree, on top, a layer of tuna and finally, another layer of puree.
