Turkey steaks with onions | Food From Portugal

  • Turkey steaks (about 500 grams (17 1/2 ounces))
  • 2 medium onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper sauce
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • Bay leaf (to taste)
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine
  • Parsley (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)


    Step 1

    1. Season the steaks with a little salt, bay leaf, pepper, red pepper sauce and white wine. Let marinate for about 15 minutes.

    Step 2

    1. Place the olive oil, the onions cut into round slices and the whole garlic in a frying pan and saute until the onion start to turn slightly golden brown, stirring occasionally. Add the steaks with the marinade and cook over medium-low heat about 10 to 12 minutes.

    Step 3

    1. Turn off the heat, sprinkle with parsley and serve the steaks with white rice or fries.
