Breaded chicken pieces seasoned with orange juice, pepper and garlic, which are going to the oven drizzled with a sauce confectioned with olive oil, garlic, honey and pepper, served with fried potatoes and lettuce salad.
- 1.5 kg (3 1/3 pounds) chicken cut into pieces
- Juice of one orange
- Pepper (to taste)
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- Breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 4 cloves of garlic
- Parsley (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 200 ml (about 1 cup) olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Pepper (to taste)
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, orange juice, pepper, nutmeg and sliced garlic. Leave to marinate about an hour.
- Coat the chicken pieces in beaten egg and in breadcrumbs. Fry them on both sides in a skillet in hot oil. When they are fried place them in a platter over absorbent paper.
- For the sauce:
In a bowl, mix the olive oil, the chopped garlic, pepper and the honey. - Place the breaded chicken pieces on a glass baking dish and drizzle with the sauce. Bring to preheated oven at 180°C (350ºF) about 20 minutes.
- Turn off the oven, sprinkle the breaded chicken with chopped parsley and serve with fried potatoes and lettuce salad.
