Ingredients
- 1.2 kg (2 2/3 pounds) chicken cut into pieces
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) red wine
- Rosemary (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- 5 cloves of garlic
- Salt (to taste)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
- Put the chicken on a baking dish and season with salt, nutmeg, paprika, peeled whole garlic and chopped rosemary. Drizzle with red wine and olive oil and bake until golden, about 1 hour. Occasionally, drizzle the chicken with the sauce.
- Turn off the oven and serve the chicken with white rice or fries.
I will substitute potatoes for sweet potatoes – More healthy. Thanks for sharing!
One more thing.. What kind of red wine ? There are many red wines… Sweet, bitter, and many more. Which one ? I prefer to buy Portuguese red wines but which one? Can you help ?
