HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE STEWED HAKE:
In a saucepan, add the sliced onion, olive oil, peeled whole garlic and the bay leaf. Sauté on a low heat until the onion start to turn slightly golden. Add the hake and season with salt, pepper, paprika and white wine. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for about 20 to 25 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the fish with the sauce. Turn off the heat, drizzle the fish with lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped coriander. Serve the fish with white rice, boiled potatoes or mashed potato.
