Put the sliced onion, the smashed garlic and the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté over low heat until the onion start to turn slightly golden. Add the hake steaks and season with salt, pepper, lemon zest and lemon juice. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the fish with the sauce. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped coriander. Serve the hake with fries or white rice.
