Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples
  • 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
  • 200 grams (1 1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 grams (1/2 cup) melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a bundt cake pan (24 x 8 centimeters (9 1/2-inch diameter with 3 1/4-inch-high sides)) with margarine and dust with flour.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon powder, flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Add the eggs, vanilla extract and whisk until obtain a creamy mixture. Add the melted butter and whisk a little more. Finally, fold with a spatula the peeled apples cut into cubes.
  3. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes (the time depends on the oven).
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and unmold. Let cool completely and serve.
