HOW TO MAKE BAKED PASTA WITH TUNA AND HAM
Step 1: Cook the pasta in a saucepan with water seasoned with salt. When the pasta is cooked, drain it with a skimmer and set aside.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, add the peeled tomato cut into chunks, chopped onion and the olive oil. Stir and cook over low heat until the tomato start to break down, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Add the tuna and the ham cut into small pieces and season with a little pepper. Stir and cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Add the pasta, mix in the tuna and turn off the heat.
Step 5: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 6: In a medium bowl, combine the cream and the béchamel.
Step 7: Pour the tuna mixture on a baking dish, drizzle with the cream and béchamel mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 8: Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden.
Step 9: Turn off the oven and serve.

- 50 grams (1 3/4 ounces) york ham
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 200 ml (1/2 pint (236 ml)) whipping cream
- 200 ml (about 1 cup) Béchamel sauce
- 175 grams (6 1/4 ounces) penne pasta
- Pepper (to taste)
