HOW TO MAKE PORTUGUESE LEMON DOUGHNUTS
Step 1: Beat the eggs, margarine and the sugar until obtain a homogenous and creamy mixture. Add the lemon juice and the flour mixed with the baking powder and beat until a creamy mixture.
Step 2: Heat the oil in a skillet. Remove small portions of the dough with the help of a spoon and, fry them in hot oil. When they are fried, place them on a platter over absorbent paper.
Step 3: Coat them in sugar and cinnamon powder and serve.

- 200 grams (about 1 cup) granulated sugar
- 225 grams (1 2/3 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150 ml (2/3 cup) lemon juice
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Sugar and cinnamon powder for dusting
- Vegetable oil for frying
- In an electric mixer, beat on medium speed the eggs, margarine and the sugar until obtain a homogenous and creamy mixture. Add the lemon juice and the flour mixed with the baking powder and beat until a creamy mixture.
