HOW TO MAKE PORTUGUESE STEAK
Step 1: Season the beef steaks with salt and pepper. Cut the ham slices into thin strips.
Step 2: Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet. Fry the ham strips on both sides over medium-low heat for about 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly golden.
Step 3: Transfer the ham strips to a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess oil. Set aside.
Step 4: Add the steaks to the skillet and fry them on both sides over medium-low heat for about 7 to 8 minutes. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

- 50 ml (1/4 cup) white wine
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
