HOW TO MAKE COD RICE WITH SPICES
Step 1: Cut the cod steaks into pieces.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, pour the olive oil, chopped onion, chopped garlic, bay leaf, peppers cut into strips and the cod. Season with pepper and cook over low heat about 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Add the rice, seasoned with salt and saffron. Stir and fry the rice about a minute, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Pour the water (twice the rice volume), stir and boil over high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to low heat and cook the rice 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 5: Turn off the heat and serve.

- 4 desalted cod steaks (about 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds))
- 1 teaspoon saffron
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 red pepper
- 1/2 green pepper
- 250 grams (1 1/4 cups) rice
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Cut the cod steaks into pieces.
