HOW TO MAKE BAKED DOGFISH
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 2: On a baking dish, add the sliced onions, fish and the peeled potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika and lemon juice. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for about 1 hour.
Step 3: Remove from the oven and serve.
TIPS FOR BAKED DOGFISH
1. If the fish starts to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.
2. We usually bake the fish and the potatoes at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors.
3. If you have leftovers, store the fish and the potatoes in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.

- 4 dogfish steaks (about 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds))
- 1.2 kg (2 2/3 pounds) small potatoes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 medium onions
- Pepper (to taste)
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- Juice of one lemon
- Salt (to taste)
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
- On a baking dish, add the sliced onions, fish and the peeled potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika and lemon juice. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for about 1 hour. Occasionally, drizzle the fish and the potatoes with the sauce.
- Remove from the oven and serve.
