HOW TO MAKE AMERICAN MEATBALLS
Step 1: Mix the pork with the beef and season with chopped garlic, nutmeg, pepper, salt and an egg yolk. Mix well the seasonings in the meat.
Step 2: Mold the meat with your hands in the shape of balls and coat with breadcrumbs.
Step 3: In a large saucepan, pour the olive oil, chopped onion and the peeled tomatoes cut into small chunks. Cook on a low heat until the tomato start to break down, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Add the meatballs, cover the pan and cook over low heat about 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5: Meanwhile, heat over high heat a saucepan with water seasoned with salt and margarine. When starts boiling, add the spaghetti, reduce to medium-low heat and cook for about 10 minutes.
Step 6: Turn off the heat, drain the spaghetti and set aside.
Step 7: Place the spaghetti and the meatballs drizzled with the tomato sauce on a plate and serve.
