This recipe is so versatile that you can turn ground beef into meatballs, make delicious burgers or cook the ground beef in tomato sauce and mix with spaghetti! It's a dish I usually make for weeknight dinners, to change up our usual recipes a bit!
We like to mix the spaghetti with the meatballs and tomato sauce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan or mozzarella cheese, it really depends on your taste! It's a simple spaghetti meatball recipe that your kids will love!

INGREDIENTS FOR SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

- Beef - Ground beef mixed with delicious seasonings (you can also make this recipe with ground beef mixed with ground pork).
- Nutmeg, pepper, chopped garlic and salt - To season the meat.
- Peeled tomato cut into small pieces, chopped onion and olive oil - To sauté and make a colorful and very tasty tomato sauce.
- Egg yolk - Adds creaminess to the meatballs.
- Breadcrumbs - Gives consistency to the meatballs.
- Spaghetti - Spaghetti cooked in water seasoned with salt and margarine.

HOW TO MAKE SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS
Step 1: In a medium bowl, add the ground beef and season with salt (1 teaspoon), garlic powder, nutmeg, pepper, egg yolk and breadcrumbs. Mix the seasonings well into the meat with your hands or a wooden spoon.
Step 2: Use your hands to shape small portions of meat into balls and coat them in breadcrumbs.
Step 3: In a large saucepan, add the peeled tomatoes cut into small pieces, chopped onion and olive oil. Cook over low heat until the tomato start to break down, stirring occasionally. Add the meatballs, cover the pan and cook over low heat for about 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Meanwhile, heat over high heat a saucepan with water seasoned with salt (1 teaspoon) and butter. When it starts to boil, add the spaghetti, reduce to medium-low heat and cook for about 10 minutes.
Step 5: Drain the spaghetti, add it to the meatballs saucepan and mix everything very well.
Step 6: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
HOW TO STORE THE SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS
If you have any leftovers or want to save the recipe for another occasion, let it cool completely and store the spaghetti and meatballs in the refrigerator in an airtight container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). The meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 days.

- 1 medium onion
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 4 cloves of garlic)
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- 200 grams (7 ounces) spaghetti
