HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN STEAKS WITH COFFEE SAUCE:

Season the steaks with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
In a bowl, dissolve with a spoon the corn starch in the milk; set aside.
Heat the margarine in a frying pan. Add the steaks and fry them on both sides over medium-low heat for about 7 to 8 minutes. When the steaks are fried, remove them to a plate and set aside. Add the wine, coffee and the corn starch mixed in the milk to the frying pan and stir with a spoon until the sauce thickens. Add the steaks back to the frying pan and drizzle with the sauce. Sprinkle with chopped rosemary and turn off the heat. Serve the steaks with white rice.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams (17 1/2 ounces) chicken steaks
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) strong coffee
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 80 grams (1/3 cup) margarine
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) red wine
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Rosemary (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
