Puff pastry - It’s the base of the recipe.
Nutella - For the Christmas tree filling.
Egg yolk - To brush the tree. Adds a golden color to the tree.
Powdered sugar - To garnish. To give a snow effect.

HOW TO MAKE NUTELLA CHRISTMAS TREE
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Step 2: Place a puff pastry sheet over the parchment paper. Evenly spread Nutella over the pastry. Place the remaining puff pastry sheet on top and press the pastry lightly with your hands.
Step 3: Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the pastry into the shape of a Christmas tree.
Step 4: Make horizontal cuts to simulate tree trunks. Twist each strip of pastry 2 to 3 times, pressing the ends into the baking tray.
Step 5: Brush the tree with beaten egg yolk.
Step 6: Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden.
Step 7: Remove the baking tray from the oven and allow to cool completely.
Step 8: Sprinkle the tree with powdered sugar and serve.
TIPS FOR NUTELLA CHRISTMAS TREE
1. To make it easier to spread the nutella on the puff pastry, heat it for about 20 to 25 seconds in the microwave to make it creamier.
2. Use the leftover pieces of puff pastry and make small stars and trees. Make at least one star to garnish the Christmas tree (as shown in the photo).
