Ingredients: bay leaf, garlic, olive oil, onion, paprika, pepper, potatoes, white wine

Ingredients

  • 4 grouper steaks (about 900 grams (2 pounds))
  • 3 medium onions
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) white wine
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) potatoes
  • Salt (to taste)

Directions

  1. Wash the peeled potatoes and give a small cut across on each one of them. Place the potatoes in a saucepan with water and cook them for about 20 minutes. Drain the potatoes when they are cooked.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  3. Peel the onions, cut into round slices and place them on the bottom of a baking dish. Add the fish and the potatoes and season with salt, olive oil, white wine, pepper, bay leaf, unpeeled crushed garlic and paprika. Bake until golden brown, about one hour. Occasionally, drizzle the fish and the potatoes with the sauce.
  4. Turn off the oven and serve.
