- Hake fillets - Halved hake fillets seasoned with typical Portuguese ingredients.
- Olive oil, unpeeled crushed garlic and pepper - To season and flavor fish and potatoes.
- Potatoes - Unpeeled small potatoes with a small cut across each one of them.
- Coriander - Chopped coriander. Adds color and a very nice flavor to the recipe.
- Salt - Highlights all the other flavors.

HOW TO MAKE BAKED HAKE FILLETS
Step 1: Wash the potatoes and give a small cut across each one of them.
Step 2: Place the potatoes in a pot with water seasoned with salt. Cook for about 20 to 25 minutes. Turn off the heat and drain the potatoes.
Step 3: In a baking dish, add the potatoes and season with pepper and olive oil.
Step 4: Cut the fillets in half. Place the fillets in another baking dish and season with olive oil, salt, pepper and unpeeled crushed garlic.
Step 5: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 6: Place the two baking dishes in the oven and bake for 45 minutes (place the baking dish with the potatoes on the top rack of the oven and the baking dish with the fillets on the bottom rack). Baste the fillets with the sauce from time to time.
Step 7: Turn off the oven and sprinkle the fillets and potatoes with chopped coriander.

- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 8 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Coriander (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) small potatoes

- 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Salt (to taste)
