HOW TO MAKE BAKED HAKE WITH TOMATO AND LEMON
Step 1: On a baking dish, add the hake steaks with the onion, the unpeeled tomato and the lemon in half moon slices. Season with salt, oregano, pepper, lemon juice and peeled garlic. Drizzle with olive oil and let marinate about 1 hour.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 3: Bake until golden, about 40 minutes.
Step 4: Turn off the oven and serve the fish with chips or white rice.
TIPS FOR BAKED HAKE WITH TOMATO AND LEMON
1. If the fish starts to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.
2. We usually bake the fish at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors.
3. If you have leftovers, store the fish in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out the fish, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.

- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- Juice of one lemon
- 2 lemons
- 2 medium tomatoes
- Oregano (to taste)
- 1 large onion
- Pepper (to taste)
- 4 cloves of garlic
- Salt (to taste)
