  • 3 pork chops (about 400 grams (14 ounces))
  • 100 ml (1/4 pint (118 ml)) whipping cream
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • Oregano (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Juice of half lemon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • For the béchamel sauce:

  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • 1 tablespoons corn starch flour
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)


  1. For the béchamel sauce:
    Place the butter in a saucepan and heat over low heat. When the butter start to melt, add the flour with a little milk and whisk until the flour is dissolved. Gradually add the rest of the milk, increase to medium heat and stir until a homogeneous and creamy mixture, about 10 minutes.
  2. Turn off the heat and season with a little salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix the seasonings in the sauce and let cool. Béchamel sauce recipe.
  3. Season the chops with a little salt, pepper, nutmeg and lemon juice.
  4. Heat a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil. When is hot, add the chops without the marinade and fry them on both sides over medium-low heat until they start to turn slightly golden.
  5. In a bowl, combine the béchamel, the cream and the oregano.
  6. When the chops are fried, pour the béchamel mixture and cook over low heat for more 10 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat and serve the chops with fries.
