The ingredients for this recipe are the same as those we usually use to make a simple chocolate cake: flour, dark chocolate, eggs, sugar, butter or margarine! To add a little more creaminess and flavor, we added liquid caramel to this recipe, but you can use honey, strawberry jam or raspberry jam!
It's a simple, homemade cake with incredible creaminess! All you need is a wire whisk, mix all the ingredients in a glass bowl, pour the batter into a cake pan and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes!

- Dark chocolate - Dark chocolate broken into pieces melted with butter or margarine in the microwave.
- Butter or margarine - To mix with dark chocolate.
- Eggs - They add moisture and richness.
- Self-rising flour - Give consistency to the cake and is the base of the batter.
- Granulated sugar - To sweeten and flavor.
- Liquid caramel - Adds extra flavor to the cake.

HOW TO MAKE EASY MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a round cake pan with butter and dust the inside of the pan with some cocoa powder or chocolate powder (hold and rotate the pan so that the flour coats all surfaces).
Step 2: In a small bowl, place the chocolate broken into pieces and the butter (or margarine). Melt in the microwave. Remove from microwave and whisk until obtain a creamy mixture.
Step 3: In a large bowl, beat the chocolate cream, sugar and the liquid caramel.
Add an egg, beat and repeat the same procedure for the remaining eggs.
Add the flour and beat until obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Step 4: Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes (the time depends on the oven). The cake is baked when it starts to rise in the middle and to gain color (as shown in the photo).
Step 5: When the cake is done, remove it from the oven and allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes inside the pan.
Step 6: Remove from the pan and place the cake onto a wire rack or serving plate. Allow to cool completely and serve.
TIPS FOR EASY MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE
1. When preheating the oven, make sure you have all ingredients ready to start making the cake.
2. Place the oven rack in the middle. This allows the hot air to circulate evenly around the cake, resulting in even cooking.
3. When placing the cake in the oven, the oven should not be too hot, if it is, the cake will rise too quickly and there will be no time for the inside of the cake to cook at the same speed (what often happens is the cake sinks in the middle). If the oven is too hot, leave the oven door open until the temperature drops a little.
4. Never open the oven door while the cake is baking. The kitchen temperature is always lower than the oven temperature, what will happen is that the oven temperature will drop and the risk of the cake sinks in the middle increases.
HOW TO STORE:
Allow the cake to cool completely before storing. Wrap the cake tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent it from drying out. Place the wrapped cake in an airtight container or in a plastic bag (You can also cut the cake into slices and store individually).
Never store the cake at room temperature for more than 2 to 3 days.
