- 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) chicken cut into pieces
- 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) potatoes
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine
- 1 large carrot
- Thyme (to taste)
- 3 medium ripe tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 2 medium onions
- Salt (to taste)
- Peel and wash the potatoes and the carrot. Cut the potatoes and the carrot into small pieces.
- In a large saucepan, add the sliced onion, peeled tomato cut into small chunks, peeled garlic, chicken, potatoes and the carrot. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, paprika, thyme, olive oil and white wine. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a low heat for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Shake the pan occasionally.
