HOW TO MAKE BAKED CHICKEN LEGS WITH GARLIC AND LEMON
Step 1: Place the chicken legs on a baking dish and season with salt, nutmeg, lemon zest, unpeeled crushed garlic, margarine pieces, lemon juice and olive oil. Marinate about 1 hour.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 3: Bake until the chicken legs start turn golden brown, about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the chicken with the sauce.
Step 4: Turn off the oven, sprinkle with chopped rosemary and serve with fries or white rice.
TIPS FOR BAKED CHICKEN LEGS WITH GARLIC AND LEMON
1. If the chicken legs start to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.
2. We usually bake at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors.
3. If you have leftovers, store the chicken legs in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.

- 8 cloves of garlic
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) lemon juice
- Zest of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 50 grams (1/4 cup) margarine
- Rosemary (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
