HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE CAKE:

Beat the sugar, eggs and the lemon zest until obtain a homogeneous mixture. Add the melted butter, lemon juice and mix for 1 to 2 minutes until it’s nicely incorporated.     Ingredients

    • 4 medium eggs
    • 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
    • 200 grams (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 100 grams (1/2 cup) melted unsalted butter
    • Juice of one lemon
    • Zest of one lemon

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a bundt cake pan (24 x 8 centimeters (9 1/2-inch diameter with 3 1/4-inch-high sides)) with margarine and dust with some flour.
    2. In an electric mixer, beat on medium speed the sugar, eggs and the lemon zest until obtain a homogeneous mixture. Add the melted butter, lemon juice and mix for 1 to 2 minutes until it’s nicely incorporated. Add the flour and the baking powder and beat until a creamy mixture.
    3. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25 to 30 minutes (the time depends on the oven).
    4. When the cake is cooked, remove from the oven and unmold onto a plate. Let cool to room temperature and serve.
