  • 2 tablespoons chocolate powder
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) strong coffee
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • 200 grams (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a round cake pan (20 x 7 centimeters (8 x 2 3/4 inches)) with margarine and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a glass bowl, mix the flour, sugar, chocolate powder, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, milk and whisk until a creamy mixture. Pour the coffee and mix until obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes (the time depends on the oven).
  4. Turn off the oven and unmold the cake onto a plate. Let cool to room temperature, garnish with powdered sugar and serve.
