  • 4 croaker steaks (about 900 grams (2 pounds))
  • 1.2 kg (2 2/3 pounds) small potatoes
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 medium onions
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1/2 orange pepper
  • 1/2 yellow pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
  • Salt (to taste)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  2. Peel and wash the potatoes. Put the fish and the potatoes on a baking dish and season with salt, nutmeg, pepper, peeled garlic, onion cut into quarters, the peppers cut into strips and the unpeeled tomatoes cut into quarters. Drizzle with white wine and olive oil and bake for about 1 hour. Occasionally drizzle the potatoes and the fish with the sauce.
  3. Turn off the oven and serve.
