Beat the sugar, eggs and the lemon zest until obtain a homogeneous mixture. Pour the melted butter, lemon juice and beat for 1 minute. Add the flour and the baking powder and beat until a quite creamy mixture.

Ingredients
- 200 grams (7 ounces) mixed berries
- 3 medium eggs
- Juice of one lemon
- Zest of one lemon
- 200 grams (1 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
- 125 grams (1/2 cup) melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a loaf tin (25 x 11 centimeters with 7 centimeters high (9 3/4 x 4 1/3-inch with 2 3/4-inch-high)) with margarine or butter and dust with flour.
- In an electric mixer, beat on medium speed the sugar, eggs and the lemon zest until obtain a homogeneous mixture. Pour the melted butter, lemon juice and beat for 1 minute. Add the flour and the baking powder and beat until a quite creamy mixture. Add the mixed berries and fold with a spatula.
- Pour the dough into the prepared tin and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes (the time depends on the oven).
- Remove the cake from the oven and unmold to a rectangular platter. Let cool to room temperature and serve.
