- Eggs - Makes the cake more soft and fluffy.

- All-purpose flour - Adds consistency and is the base of the cake batter.
- Lemon zest - Adds aroma and a fresh flavor to the cake.
- Milk - To make the cake fluffier.
- Butter - Makes the cake softer and tastier.

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE CAKE
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF). Grease a bundt cake pan (24 x 8 centimeters (9 1/2-inch diameter with 3 1/4-inch-high sides)) with butter and dust the inside of the pan with some cocoa powder (hold and rotate the pan so that the flour coats all surfaces).
Step 2: Place the chocolate broken into pieces and the butter in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Remove from the microwave and mix with a fork until obtain a creamy mixture.
Step 3: Using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment, beat on medium speed the eggs, sugar and the lemon zest until obtain a creamy and homogeneous batter. Add the chocolate and milk and beat for 2 to 3 minutes until it’s nicely incorporated. Add the flour and the baking powder and beat until a creamy mixture.
Step 4: Scrape down the sides and up the bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula.
Step 5: Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes (the time depends on the oven).
Step 6: When the cake is done, remove it from the oven and allow to cool for 15 to 20 minutes inside the pan.
Step 7: Remove the cake from the pan and place it onto a wire rack or serving dish. Let it cool completely and serve.
RECIPE TIPS
1. Place the oven rack in the middle. This allows the hot air to circulate evenly around the batter, resulting in even cooking.
2. When the cake is done, do not open the oven door all the way. Leave the door slightly open and wait 5 to 10 minutes so that the heat enters the kitchen and there is no temperature shock that causes the cake to collapse (the time depends on the season of the year, if it is summer leave it for about 5 minutes, if it is winter 10 minutes).
3. If the top of the cake starts too brown too much, reduce the oven temperature and cover the cake with aluminum foil.

- 150 grams (2/3 cup) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 150 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour
- Zest of one lemon
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) milk
- 50 grams (1/4 cup) butter
