  • 400 grams (14 ounces) hake loins
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • Salt (to taste)
  • For the puree:

  • 1.2 kg (2 2/3 pounds) potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Nutmeg (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 300 ml (1 1/3 cups) milk
  • Salt (to taste)

  1. Season the fish loins with salt, chopped garlic, pepper and white wine. Let marinate about one hour.

  3. In a baking dish, place the onions cut into round slices and the fish with the marinade. Drizzle with olive oil and bake about 25 minutes.
  4. For the puree:
Peel, wash the potatoes and place them in a saucepan with water seasoned with salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to medium heat and cook about 30 minutes. When the potatoes are cooked, drain them and mash the potatoes with a potato masher or with a fork.
