HOW TO MAKE BAKED VEAL STEAKS
Step 1: Cut the steaks into pieces and season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, chopped garlic, red pepper sauce and white wine. Mix the seasonings in the meat and let marinate about 1 to 2 hours.
Step 2: Wash the potatoes and give a small cut across on each one of them. Wash the carrot and peel it. Bake the potatoes and the carrots in a saucepan with water seasoned with salt for about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 4: Place the potatoes, the meat and the carrot cut into slices on a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Bake until the potatoes start to turn slightly golden brown, about 45 minutes. Drizzle occasionally with the sauce.
Step 5: Turn off the oven and serve.
TIPS FOR BAKED VEAL STEAKS
1. If it starts to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.
2. We usually bake at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors and the meat gets more tender.
3. If you have leftovers, store the meat and the potatoes in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.

- 3 cloves of garlic
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 medium carrot
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) white wine
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
- 1.2 kg (2 2/3 pounds) small potatoes
- 1 tablespoon sweet red pepper paste
- Salt (to taste)
