INGREDIENTS FOR THE BEST HOMEMADE BREAD

- Flour - Bread flour T65. The main ingredient of this recipe.
- Olive oil and salt - To add flavor.
- Dry baker's yeast - Helps the dough rise.
- Water - Helps kneading the dough.

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST HOMEMADE BREAD
Step 1: In a large bowl, mix the flour and the salt.
Add the baker’s yeast and mix well.
Pour the olive oil and some of the water.
Knead everything with your hands and go slowly pouring the remaining water.
Step 2: Place the bread dough over a lightly floured surface and knead it well until it’s fully involved and soft.
When this process is completed, let the dough rise in a bowl covered with plastic wrap about 2 hours or until the dough double in size.
Step 3: Remove the dough from the bowl and knead it a little more. Give the dough a rounded shape and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. With a sharp knife make 3 to 4 diagonal cuts across the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 2 hours.
Step 4: Preheat the oven to 200ºC (400ºF).
Step 5: Remove the plastic wrap and sprinkle with some flour. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the bread start turn golden brown.
Step 6: Turn off the oven and place the bread in a cooling rack. Allow to cool to room temperature or serve warm with jam or butter.
RECIPE TIPS
Storage and freezing:
1. Let the bread cool completely before storing. Wrap the bread in plastic wrap and then place it in a bread bag (or wrap in aluminium foil and place it in an airtight container). Eat the bread within three or four days.
2. Let the bread cool completely before freezing. Wrap the bread in a plastic wrap and store in the freeze for up to 3 months.
Extra tip: A cooling rack helps the bottom of your bread cool without losing any crispness.
