This stewed meat recipe is the perfect solution for a family lunch, it has great presentation, everyone likes it and it’s very delicious!! Serve with white rice and a good red wine!
HOW TO PREPARE STEWED MEAT:
Season the meat with salt, chopped garlic, pepper, nutmeg, white wine and bay leaf. Let marinate about two hours.
Put the olive oil and the onions cut into round slices in a saucepan and saute over low heat until the onion start to turn golden brown. Add the meat with the marinade and the chilli cut into pieces, stir and cook over low heat for about three hours. Turn the meat occasionally (If the sauce starts to dry up, add a little more white wine and olive oil). Turn off the heat and serve the meat with white rice.

- 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) beef
- 2 medium onions
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 200 ml (1 cup) white wine
- 1/2 chilli
- Pepper (to taste)
- Nutmeg (to taste)
