Below you’ll find the correct measurement of all ingredients and the step-by-step guide for this air fryer french toast recipe.
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER FRENCH TOAST
Step 1: On a wooden cutting board, cut each slice of bread diagonally.
Step 2: In a shallow dish, whisk the milk and the eggs until combined. Dip each side of the bread in the egg mixture.
Step 3: Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and coat with oil spray. Place the bread triangles in the basket and lightly spray them - this helps the French toast turn extra crispy and evenly golden. You will have to work in batches if your air fryer does not have enough space.
Step 4: Air fry for about 16 minutes at 180ºC (350ºF), (flip the bread halfway and spray a little more).
Step 5: On a large plate, mix the sugar and the cinnamon powder. Coat the bread slices on both sides in the mixture and serve.
RECIPE TIPS
1. One of the most common mistakes is choosing the wrong bread. For French toast, it’s important to use bread that’s at least one to two days old, so that it absorbs the egg mixture without falling apart.
2. Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture for just a few seconds to avoid them becoming soggy.
3. How to store: Allow the French toast cool completely to room temperature. Transfer to an airtight container and store for up to 2–3 days.
