Beef stew with rice on a tureen

HOW TO MAKE BEEF STEW WITH RICE:

In a saucepan, add the peeled tomatoes cut into small chunks, chopped onion, chopped garlic and the olive oil. Stir and cook on a low heat until the tomato start to break down. Add the meat and season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and tomato pulp. Stir and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the rice and season with a little more salt. Mix the rice in the meat, pour the water and boil on a medium-high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to a low heat and cook the rice for about 12 to 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and serve.

  • 250 grams (1 1/4 cups) rice
  • 150 ml (2/3 cups) red wine
  • 600 ml (2 1/2 cups) water
  • Salt (to taste)
