HOW TO MAKE BEEF STEW WITH RICE
Step 1: In a large saucepan, add the peeled tomatoes cut into small chunks, chopped onion, chopped garlic and the olive oil. Stir and cook on a low heat until the tomato start to break down.
Step 2: Add the beef and season with red wine, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and tomato pulp. Stir and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Add the rice and season with a little more salt. Mix the rice in the meat, pour the water and boil on a medium-high heat. When starts boiling, reduce to a low heat and cook the rice for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Step 4: Turn off the heat and serve.
RECIPE TIPS
We usually use long-grain rice or medium-grain rice but you can use another type of rice. Long-grain rice is looser while medium-grain rice is creamier and absorb much more the flavors.

- 3 cloves of garlic
- 5 tablespoons tomato pulp
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 250 grams (1 1/4 cups) long-grain rice
- 150 ml (2/3 cups) red wine
- 600 ml (2 1/2 cups) water
- Salt (to taste)
