HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY JAM
Step 1: Wash the strawberries and remove the stem.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, add the strawberries cut into small pieces, sugar and the cinnamon stick.
Step 3: Mix with a wooden spoon and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 4: Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for about 45 to 50 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
Step 5: Turn off the heat and remove the cinnamon stick. Pour the jam into a clean or sterilized glass jar and seal.
Step 6: Let it cool to room temperature and store the homemade jam in the refrigerator. Serve the strawberry jam for breakfast with crackers or slices of bread.
RECIPE TIPS
1. If you want the recipe to be a little faster, let the strawberries cook for about 15 to 20 minutes and then blend the strawberries with a hand blender.
2. We like to leave the jam with little strawberry pieces, but if you don't like the taste of strawberry pieces in your mouth, let the jam cook a little longer.
How to store: Let the jam cool to room temperature and store it in the refrigerator in a glass jar tightly closed. If it is sealed tightly, you can store the jam for about 1 month. After this period, it may begin to lose quality and develop microorganisms.

- 225 grams (1 cup) granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Wash the strawberries and remove the stem.
- In a large saucepan, add the strawberries cut into small pieces, sugar and the cinnamon stick.
- Mix with a wooden spoon and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for about 45 to 50 minutes or until thickened (pass a wooden spoon in the bottom of the saucepan and if it leaves a trail like a road, the sweet is ready), stirring frequently.
- Turn off the heat and remove the cinnamon stick. Pour the jam into a clean or sterilized glass jar and seal.
