HOW TO MAKE BAKED CHICKEN STEAKS WITH LEMON
Step 1: Place the chicken steaks on a baking dish. Season with lemon juice, salt, nutmeg, paprika, sliced garlic and lemon slices. Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 3: Drizzle the steaks with olive oil and bake until golden, about 40 minutes. Occasionally, drizzle the steaks with the sauce to prevent from drying out.
Step 4: Turn off the oven and serve the steaks with white rice or mashed potatoes.
TIPS FOR BAKED CHICKEN STEAKS WITH LEMON
1. If the steaks starts to brown too much cover with aluminum foil.
2. We usually bake the chicken steaks at 180ºC (350ºF) but, if you lower the temperature to 150ºC (300ºF), despite taking longer to bake, it has the advantage of enhancing much more the flavors and the chicken gets more tender.
3. If you have leftovers, store the chicken in the fridge in a properly covered container (to prevent the growth of microorganisms). To avoid drying out, do not reheat the food in the oven, reheat it in the microwave.
