HOW TO MAKE EASY LASAGNA CASSEROLE
Step 1: In a large saucepan, add the chopped onion, chopped garlic and the olive oil. Sauté on a low heat until the onion starts to turn golden brown. Add the ground beef and season with a teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Add the tomato pulp, stir and cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
Step 2: Cook the pasta in a saucepan with water seasoned with a teaspoon salt and a small peeled onion. When the pasta is cooked, drain it well and set aside.
Step 3: Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Step 4: Add the pasta to the meat pan and mix well.
Step 5: In a bowl, combine the béchamel sauce, cream and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
Step 6: Add the meat and pasta mixture into a baking dish. Drizzle with the béchamel and cream sauce and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7: Turn off the oven and serve.
RECIPE TIPS
1. If you have leftovers or want to save the casserole for another day, place it in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator (let it cool completely before storing in the refrigerator).
2. You can replace the tomato pulp with fresh tomatoes (3 to 4 medium ripe tomatoes). (Cook the peeled tomato cut into small pieces with the onion, chopped garlic and olive oil, until the tomatoes start to break down.)
